News / Events Rasing money for Children in Need On Friday 17th November the team join millions of people throughout the UK to raise money for BBC Children in Need. Each year Children in Need raise millions of pounds which is used to fund a wide variety of projects supporting children and young people build better futures. Children in Need currently fund aspects of our children and young people's project. With this funding we are able to provide support for children and young people affected by domestic abuse supporting them to learn effective ways to cope with their trauma, improve their relationships with others and develop strategies to manage their emotions. With the funding we are also able to provide direct support to children and young people within refuge. Members of our children and young people's team organized a team fundraiser. Team members across our three sites were invited to take part in a cake making bake off competition which was judged by one of our trustees, Karen Slater. Competition was fierce, but there could only be one winner our IRIS worker, Lynfa. However, no one was left disappointed as we all had the opportunity to buy the remaining cakes which were AMAZING! The following day team members were invited to wear their pajamas to work and although they received some funny looks we thought they all looks fabulous! Together the team managed to raise £71 for Children in Need.
