About
This 6 week, course is open to people who want to learn more about domestic abuse, whether they are in, or have left, an abusive relationship, and for those who have no plans to leave their partner but want to remain as safe as possible.
Freedom examines the roles played by an abusive partner, their attitudes and beliefs, actions and the responses of victims and survivors.
This course is not about providing individual support or counselling, but it is about providing people with skills to move onto abuse free lives, with the added bonus of making new friends along the way.
Aims

The most commonly held belief among victims of domestic abuse is that they are somehow responsible for the abuser’s behavior. Freedom is designed to support individuals identify that this is not the case and to reassure them that they are not alone.
