BBC Children In Need believe that every child has the right to a safe, happy and secure childhood which supports them to achieve their true potential. The charity funds a variety of projects through out the UK which enables organisations and charities such as ours to support children and young people.

Our project

In 2017 we were awarded a children In Need grant to support our work with children and young people affected by domestic violence and abuse. The project provides one to one support and outreach services to children and young people with the aim to support them to develop skills to deal with trauma, improve their relationships with others and be more able to deal with their emotions.

Last year the project supported 30 children and young people. Referrals for the project have been county wide, and have varied in source; mainly the referrals have been via Children's Services, Health, Education, Police and Self referrals.
