About us

Over the past three years we have been working in partnership with the University of South Wales and Cardiff University to provide our social services student placement programme.

We provide

The aim of the programme is to provide student social workers with first-hand experience of working with individuals affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence.
During placement all students gain experience of working across a range of our services alongside our trained and experienced support team.

We aim to provide all placements;

• Suitable learning opportunities to support your academic goals

• Opportunities to develop interpersonal and communication skills in a supportive environment.

• Direct working with those that access our services.

• Opportunities to case work individuals on a one to one basis, exploring and assessing their needs whilst finding ways to overcome them.

• Frequent support and supervision from our volunteer coordinator Michelle

To discuss your placement further contact Michelle for more information.

This opportunity is only available to those undertaking a social work degree, at undergraduate or masters level. If you are studying a health and social care or another degree we will not be able to place you. You can however volunteer with us.
