Mar 6, 2024 | Latest News

Johnsons workwear has been trading since 1974, and is considered by many to be the UK’s biggest and most trusted textile services provider. Although they are large in size this  has not taken away from their community values and their commitment to taking part in programmes and activities that directly and indirectly support our communities to grow and thrive.

Charity of the year 2024

In early 2024, RCT domestic abuse service were pleased to be contacted by Steve Jones, General Manager, Johnsons workwear, based in Pontypridd to inform us that we had been chosen as their charity of the year.  It was heart warming to hear that charities are chosen from the suggestions of their own workforce. Emma Williams, Development manager was invited to meet the team  on Saint David’s day, where she was presented with a check for £1000 for the charity. A further £164 was raised on the day as a result of a raffle.

We are extremely grateful to Johnson workwear of choosing us as their charity of the year. As a team we are excited to work in collaboration with  Johnsons workwear with the aim of raising vital funds whilst raising awareness of domestic abuse and the local services available to support victims.

Emma Williams, Development manager, RCTDAS
